VENETO DECLARES INDEPENDENCE FROM ITALY
AN ABSOLUTE MAJORITY OF 2.1 MILLION PEOPLE VOTE YES
VENETIANS VOTE IN FAVOR OF EU, EURO AND NATO, BUT 89.1% VOTE FOR SECESSION FROM ITALY
Los Angeles – After six days of voting in a referendum for independence of Veneto, the final results were announced Friday, March 21, in Treviso. Ten thousand Venetians filled the main square cheering as the results were announced.
Veneto has nearly 5 million inhabitants, and 3.7 million citizens of voting age who received electoral documents to participate.

YES: 2102969 (89,1 percent)
NO: 257266 (10,9 percent)

YES: 464534 (55,7 percent)

YES: 472409 (51,4 percent)
NO: 447189 (48,6 percent)

YES: 477312 (64,5 percent)
NO: 263119 (35,5 percent)
In addition to the questions on political independence and on international relations, out of 28 candidates ten delegates were elected to make the will of Venetian people executive. This is the list of elected delegates in order of preferences received: Gianluca Busato (135306), Stefano Vescovi (48320), Selena Veronese (46967), Silvia Gandin (43025), Lodovico Pizzati (25731), Gianfranco Favaro (16670), Raffaele Serafini (16627), Manuel Carraro (16454), Gianluca Panto (16321), and Paolo Luca Bernardini (16299).
